We take shower everyday to keep ourself clean. Personal hygiene is important. But all this keeps us clean externally, it helps us wash off the dirt on our outerself. What about our internal self?
We get so many thoughts in a day, some good some bad. We use social media, where again there is a lot of dirt that goes straight into our heads. Water can't help clean this dirt which goes into our heads directly.
What's the way to clean ourself internally?
Meditation is one big way you can clean your internal dirt. If you can't practice meditation, then try sitting in silence for a specified time everyday. Or if you can't even do this, just go for a nature walk without your phone and earphone.
This is how you can wash yourself internally. In the age of internet. There is lot of trash we are exposed to. This makes internal bathing a necessary everyday practice.
So many people don't take care of their mental hygiene and as a result we are seeing a rise in problems like increased anxiety, deteriorating attention spans. All this is a result of bad mental hygiene.
From now on make sure you wash yourself, both internally and externally everyday.
